First Day Outside Munich
Based on my partner’s German friend’s suggestion, we decided to do a day trip to Ulm. First thing to do is of course get some fries at the train station.
We got on the Deutsche Bahn IC 1290 (9:47 – 11:01) to get to Ulm. The ticket was booked in advance online.

Upon arriving at Ulm, we were greeted with bad weather and a huge church in the distance. We will find out later that it looks a lot larger up close. We walked around the city for a bit to kill some time before our 12:00 lunch reservation.
We eventually made our way to Gerber Haus, where we booked a reservation. They had great reviews online, so we were excited!
